From Tractors to Marathons!
Community Fundraiser Kieran Dodrill recently presented the Denis Burkitt Ward €10,000 after a hugely successful fundraising initiative. Kieran and 6 of his friends organised a tractor run in Clonkill GAA club in October. Up to 100 tractors took part and there was a hugely successful raffle in the clubhouse afterwards. Not only this but Kieran and his friends then flew all the way to New York City at the start of November and took on the NYC Marathon.
Pedalling for a Purpose!
Emmet Higgins and his family organised a hugely successful cycling event on the 22nd of July in Leitrim. Together and with the backing of their community they raised an impressive 13K for St. James’s Hospital. The Higgins family then organised a fantastic cheque presentation in the Lord Mayors Oak Room residence where they treated the staff of St James’s to a night out.
Paul Kelly Golf Classic
The family of the late Paul Kelly came together and organised a Golf Classic in his memory at Naas Golf Club Last June.
