At St. James' Hospital Foundation, we believe in the power of community and collective action. That's why we host four flagship events each year, inviting everyone to come together in support of our mission. But that's not all – we also encourage individuals, communities, clubs, and schools to organise their own events, amplifying the impact we can make. Here's a closer look at our flagship events.
Annual Golf Classic
Calling all corporate teams and golf enthusiasts! Our Annual Golf Classic is held at one of Ireland's premier golf locations and promises a day of friendly competition and camaraderie. With a shotgun start and a 4-ball format, it's a chance to showcase your golfing skills while making a meaningful contribution to St. James' Hospital.
Liberties Fun Run
Join us on St. James' day in July for the Liberties Fun Run, one of Dublin's oldest and most established road races. Starting in the historic grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the 4-mile route winds through the charming old part of Dublin. With over 1,000 participants each year, it's a fantastic way to celebrate the spirit of our foundation.
Gala Ball
Our Gala Ball at the Mansion House in Dublin is a night of pure celebration. While primarily attended by corporate partners, it's open to all from the community who wish to partake in the festivities. In 2023, Guests enjoyed a lavish evening featuring entertainment from Eurovision winners, impeccable hosting by Miriam O’Callaghan, and a black-tie affair with a five-course fine dining experience.
Sports Event Challenge
Spring brings an exciting opportunity for adventure seekers with our Sports Event Challenge. Examples include the Four Peaks Challenge and the thrilling "Jump for James" abseiling experience at Croke Park. Whether you're a seasoned thrill-seeker or trying something new, these events are open to all, and they're a fantastic way to push your limits while supporting a great cause.
Join or Organise Your Own
There are so many ways to fundraise for St. James’s Hospital, and we meet people here at St James’s Hospital with lots of drive, imagination and hard work, who run events and undertake challenges across Dublin and Ireland. From football matches, to head shaves, to fundraising nights out, Come Dine with Me evenings, fun walks and even sky dives! We love to hear about your events before they even happen! We can also help advertise them on our social media and website, and although we are a small team, we might be able to attend.
