St James’s Hospital Foundation is delighted to announce that the 18th annual Liberties Fun Run will take place at 7:45pm on Wednesday, 12th August 2026.
Proudly sponsored by Diageo, this unique and much-loved 4-mile timed road race brings together over 1,500 runners each year in support of patient care at St James’s Hospital.
Starting and finishing in the beautiful grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), the route takes participants through the heart of old Dublin and past some of the most iconic landmarks in the Liberties, including St James’s Gate, Francis Street, The Coombe and Fatima. The atmosphere, community spirit and evening setting make this one of Dublin’s most special summer races.
